Bybee memos repudiated

The White House and Department of Justice yesterday repudiated memos on torture of terrorism suspects submitted under the authority of Jay S. Bybee, one-time Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel. Bybee has undergraduate and law degrees from BYU and now serves as a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
